Dirt Night – UMP Modifieds – Race 4 – July 2, 2018 – Limaland Motorsports Park
The UMP Modifieds took their turn at Limaland to kick off the second half of the season for Dirt Night, with a 75-lap A-Main.
Race Summary – Early in the race, Clay Snider held the lead and looked strong out front as the pack battled behind him. But as the race neared the halfway mark, the action began to heat up out front as Jarrid Boiros and David Krikorian swapped the second position while trying to overtake Snider out front. Boiros was the first one to get by Snider on the bottom groove, but he would also have his hands full holding off “DK”. The two would battle for the final 25 laps of the race but Boiros had enough to hold onto the lead to pick up his second straight Dirt Night win.
Race Winner – Jarrid Boiros – Started 8th, 30 laps led
Top Five – 2nd David Krikorian, 3rd Clay Snider, 4th Matt Rolfe, 5th Russell Berry
Heat Winner – Jarrid Boiros
Points Battle – David Krikorian’s runner-up finish gives him the slight advantage over Clay Snider and now leads by just two points atop the standings.
Up Next – The Midgets will be back on track tonight for 50 laps at Limaland.
