On Wednesday night, the Callaway Investments Sportsman Series ran the second race of their season with a 100-lap feature event at the Langley Speedway.

Race Winner – Ty Spearman worked his way under Joe Schaffer Jr. on lap 43 to take the lead during a long green flag run, and was able to hold on for the victory, his 26th career SARA win.

Race Summary – For the second week in a row, Kyle Souza would benefit from the Pole Shuffle redraw, and would lead the field to the green. He would lead the opening 11 laps before Joe Schaffer Jr. took over the top spot, as the field set off on an opening 58-lap green flag run. During that run though, Spearman made his charge to the front and took over on lap 43, and never looked back as he went on to take the win.

Heat Winners – Three Heat Races were used to set the field for the night, and Trevor Edwards, Ty Spearman, and Joe Schaffer Jr. would each pick up the Heat wins.

Hard Charger – Mason Dunn started back in the 16th spot and gained 8 positions on the night to finish 8th.

Sportsman Rookie – Russell Charneski was the top rookie for the second straight week, picking up a 6th place finish.

Title Fight – Ty Spearman takes over the points lead with the win, passing Trevor Edwards at the top of the standings and leads by just 6 points.

Up Next – The Callaway Investments Sportsman Series goes from the flat track at Langley to the high banks of Southern National for next week’s 100 lap race.
