On Tuesday night, the Callaway Investments Sportsman Series visited the Gateway Motorsports Park for the second time in series history, with a 55-lap feature event. Tim Bills started the night with his 5th pole of the season, but a 10-car invert dropped him back and moved Russell Berry to the front of the field for the green flag. Berry and Michael Baxter led the race early on until some of the top qualifiers worked their way to the front. Bills, Trevor Edwards and Matt Rolfe all moved into the top three on lap 19 and the trio looked to battle it out until Bills would lose connection from the lead on lap 27. Just as Bills dropped out of the server, Rolfe snuck to the high side of Edwards out of turn four and used the momentum to take over the lead on lap 28. Rolfe would go on to hold off Edwards, including on a restart with 12 laps to go, and he would take the checkered flag to pick up back-to-back wins in the series.
With the victory, and a second drop race being factored into the standings, Rolfe would take over the points lead over Edwards and leads by 8 points heading into the Lucas Oil Raceway next week. Despite losing the points lead, Edwards would pick up some hardware as he finished off the Triple Crown with a combined 8 points in the three races which was enough to pick up the Triple Crown championship.
