On Wednesday night, the HidesPride.com Southern Series began it’s mini-season with the Legends division taking on the Southern National Motorsports Park. Despite the small size of the car, it proved to be tough to handle for some as cautions plagued the event. In Race 1, Joe Schaffer scored the pole and went on to lead all 50 laps to pick up his 22nd career SARA victory. After a full 10-car invert for Race 2, Bill Martin would eventually inherit the lead after a couple of incidents at the front of the field, and Martin would pick up his 50th career SARA victory.
