This past Thursday night the TUNDRA Super Sim Series, powered by TUNDRA Super Late Models, made their 3rd and final trip up to New England for a 150-lap race at Oxford in the Hides Pride 150.

Race Winner – Matt Rolfe worked his way under Bill Martin with less than 15 laps to go to take the lead and to win his first race of the season at his home track.

Race Summary – Brandon Wilkinson led the field to the green flag after a 7-car invert, but it was Trevor Edwards that would lead the first lap. Edwards led until lap 33 when Bill Martin found the outside groove and worked his way around the outside and into the lead. From there, Martin controlled most of the race, but one last caution would set up a restart with 30 laps to go, which also brought Matt Rolfe up to Martin’s outside. Martin got the jump but left the door open for Rolfe to get to his inside with less than 15 to go, and Rolfe would pull ahead and went on to pick up his 29th career SARA victory.

Pole Award – Landon Sciacca set the fast time with a lap of 14.020 seconds.

Hard Charger – Matt Rolfe qualified 15th and gained 14 spots on the night en route to his win.

Rookie of the Race – Michael Beamish scored a 15th place finish as the highest rookie in the race.

Title Fight – The top two drivers in points both faced issues during the night, but Joe Schaffer Jr. maintains his points lead over David Krikorian by 41 points.

Up Next – Next week the series will run a 150-lap feature at Southern National, before the H&H Fall Brawl Spectacular takes over in two weeks.
