Last Thursday night, the TUNDRA Super Sim Series, presented by the TUNDRA Super Late Models, took on the Myrtle Beach Speedway for the 2nd time ever for a 152 lap race in the Area 52 Designs 152.

Race Winner – Trevor Edwards stalked Jimmy Mullis up front for most of the race before making his move with 15 laps to go to pick up his 2nd win of the season.

Race Summary – Brandon Wilkinson led early on in the race until Jimmy Mullis took the lead on a lap 34 restart. From there Mullis would lead but was unable to pull away as Trevor Edwards ran within a couple of car lengths for most of the night. Edwards was able to get a nose ahead on lap 129 before Mullis took back over, but the battle wasn’t over as Edwards gave it another shot on lap 138. The two drivers would make slight contact on the exit of turn four, which allowed Edwards to get by and he would go on to lead the final 15 laps for the victory.

Pole Award – Tim Bills added his second pole of the season with a lap of 17.562 seconds.

Hard Charger – Brandon Coppinger picked up the hard charger award for the second straight week, gaining 12 positions to finish in 7th.

Rookie of the Race – Zack Novak finished just outside the top five in 6th as the top rookie in the race.

Title Fight – Joe Schaffer Jr. extended the points lead up to 24 points heading into the season finale.

Up Next – The 2017 Fall Season will come to a close with a 200 lap season finale in the HidesPride.com Championship 200
