Allman Dominates At Southern National For First SLM Win

On Thursday night the TUNDRA Super Sim Series, powered by TUNDRA Super Late Models, ran a 150-lap race in The POSSE Shootout at Southern National, as the final regular season tune-up race before the H&H Sign Supply Fall Brawl Spectacular next week.

Race Winner – Colin Allman got a good restart on lap 33 to take the lead and never looked back, picking up his first Super Sim Series victory.

Race Summary – A 9-car invert prior to the feature put Kyle Souza at the front of the field for the start of the race. Souza would lead the opening 32 laps of the race, but a quick restart on lap 33 allowed Colin Allman to get a good jump and Allman would take over out front. Yellows plagued the race throughout the first half, leading to single file restarts later in the race, and Allman would feel the heat from behind from Adam Benefiel but eventually Allman would continue to pull away and went on to lead the final 118 laps for his 2nd career SARA victory.

Pole Award – Joe Schaffer Jr. set a new track record with a lap of 12.841 seconds for his 26th career SARA pole.

Hard Charger – Trevor Edwards needed a provisional to make the field and gained 21 spots for a 9th place finish.

Rookie of the Race – Michael Beamish finished in the 15th position as the top rookie of the night.

Title Fight – Joe Schaffer Jr. leaves Southern National with a 50-point lead over David Krikorian, but once drop weeks are factored in after the Fall Brawl, that lead will unofficially shrink down to just 11 points.

Up Next – The Super Sim Series will be off for three weeks for regular season racing, but will be on track next week in our biggest event of the year in the H&H Sign Supply Fall Brawl Spectacular.
