In the opening laps, Alex McCollum quickly took the lead and set the pace. Two competition cautions provided opportunities for tire changes; some drivers opted for an earlier stop, while McCollum and others waited until lap 70. This cycled Jacob Harberts into the lead, while McCollum charged his way back toward the front, setting up a duel between the differing strategies. The two drivers battled side-by-side in the closing laps, with Harberts ultimately holding on for the victory.
