Last night the 410 Non-Wing Sprint cars took over the Open Wheel Series for the third and final time this season for the final event of their Triple Crown series with a 40-lap feature event at Lanier.
Race Summary – Last time out in the Non-Wing Sprints, Dave Bodio started third but would have the lead by lap 1. Same story, different night for Bodio as once again he would start 3rd and worked his way under Josh Kotten to take the lead on the opening lap. From there Bodio controlled the race, and had to hold off David Krikorian and a late charging Zack Passen on some restarts. It wouldn’t phase Bodio at all though as he would hold on to pick up the win.
Triple Crown Standings – Bodio’s victory made it clean sweep in the Triple Crown, winning all three events and ending the series with a perfect score of 3 points to claim the Triple Crown championship. Clay Snider would finish in 2nd with a total of 11 points.
Up Next – Next week the Dirt Midgets will take back over the Open Wheel Series for the final two weeks of the season as they will look to crown the first champion of the series.
