Let’s take a look back at Week 6 of the season as the Legends League visited the large Charlotte Road Course, while the rest of the divisions visited the Stafford Motor Speedway for their feature events. Once again we had a total of 110 cars attempt to qualify for our races across the board.

Here’s the Week 6 Power Rankings:

10. Todd Garren (Prev Rank: NR (+))
Todd has been putting in some good runs all season long but has also found a little bit of bad luck too. It seemed like he would put in a good race in the Pro Late Models but would have trouble in the SLM race, or vis versa. This week Todd put together two solid runs, picking up an 8th in the PLM and backed it up with a 6th in the SLM. His SLM finish was also enough to move him up into 3rd in the standings. We’ll look to see if Todd can keep this run going into this week’s races as well.

9. James Linkiewicz (Prev Rank: 8th (-1))
James didn’t have a bad week overall, but he would get jumped by someone who had a great week, moving him down a spot this week. He had a decent 11th place finish in the PLM, and looked to have a solid top 10 in the SLM before late contact would put James down into the 14th place after reviewing the contact. James has been dropping in these rankings the last couple weeks, but he’ll look to see if he can rebound this week and pick up some better finishes.

8. Clay Snider (Prev Rank: 7th (-1))
Clay also drops a spot in this week’s rankings. He would have a couple of good runs in the Acceleration Series with a 4th place in the Legends race and an 8th in the Street Stocks. He looked to finish the week off strong in the SLM but ran into some trouble as he made contact when trying to avoid a spinning car. Clay also still holds onto the top spot in the Legends standings, so he’ll look to see if he can keep running strong this week.

7. Justin Brooks (Prev Rank: 4th (-3))
We all know how fast Justin can be, but this week he ran into some bad luck dropping him down a couple spots in the rankings. He looked to have a strong Street Stock run going before having to pull off mid race putting him back to a 26th place finish. Then in the Pro Late Model race he got caught up in a late wreck which put him back to another finish outside the top 20 in 22nd. After a couple of bad finishes, we’re sure that Justin will rebound strongly and come out this week with some fast cars.

6. Matt Rolfe (Prev Rank: 2nd (-4))
After a strong run across the board last week, Matt didn’t have quite as much luck this week. He did start off with a 10th place finish in the Legends, but that would be his worst finish ever in the Legends in the 3 seasons he’s run. His one good finish of the week came in the Street Stocks with a 6th place finish, and he maintained his points lead in that division. An early wreck would drop Matt to 25th in the PLM race, and in the SLM race he ran in the top 10 all race but fell back to 13th at the end. Matt will look to see if he can rebound this week.

5. Jacob Linkiewicz (Prev Rank: 5th (+0))
Jacob remains 5th in this week’s rankings as he had a pretty good week overall He finished off the Pro Late Model race with a top 10 finish, but backed it with an even stronger run in the SLM race, running up in the top 5 all race long and ending up with a 5th place finish. A couple of good runs should help Jacob carry some momentum into this week’s races.

4. Brian Tedeschi (Prev Rank: 6th (+2))
Brian put together some great runs this week in the races at Stafford this week. He started it off with a 5th place in the Street Stocks, and then ended up with a 9th in the Late Models after a late race wreck. Then in the Super Late Models, he looked to have one of the faster cars, and worked his way back up after a mid race spin to finish 4th. We’ll look to see if Brian can keep up the impressive runs as the season enters the second half.

3. Ty Majeski (Prev Rank: 9th (+6))
Ty has been on quite a tear lately and continued it this past week. He came out for the Street Stocks and put up a dominating win leading every lap, and then backed it up with another win in the Pro Late Models after starting 23rd in the field. If Ty continues to run with us, he should continue to run up front every week.

2. Kenny Lindsley (Prev Rank: 3rd (+1))
Kenny picks up a spot this week after Rolfe had a bad week. But he did have the Pro Late Model finish to back it up. He looked to be one of the only drivers that could try to keep up with Majeski and came home with a 2nd place finish in that race. His SLM race wouldn’t go quite as well as he would get caught up in a couple of wrecks and ended up with a 22nd place finish. Now that Ty is breathing down his neck, Kenny will have to pick up some good finishes this week to stay up in 2nd in the rankings.

1. Trey Jarrell (Prev Rank: 1st (+0))
Once again, Trey picked up another win this week. No surprise there. This week thing’s would come much easier for him though. The past few weeks, Trey has had to come from mid-pack to work his way up to his wins, but this week he would pick up the heat win and started on the pole for the race. Then he went on to lead every lap in the feature event, picking up his 5th win in 6 SLM race, and grew his points lead even larger. It’s going to be hard for anyone to beat Trey until he runs into any bad luck.
