Another week is in the books for the season, and we’re down to just 4 weeks left to go. This last week the entire league made the trip to the Langley Speedway as all four divisions battled it out on the flat short-track. In this week’s Power Rankings, we take a look back at how drivers did during “Langley Week”.

Here’s the Week 8 Power Rankings:

10. Bill Martin (Prev Rank: NR (+))
Bill has had some pretty good runs the last couple of weeks, and he finally moves into the Power Rankings with some great finishes. Averaging a finish of 5th for the week, Bill would finish 6th in both the Legends and the Pro Late Models, but had his best finish with a 3rd in the Street Stocks. Over the past 3 weeks, he’s averaging a finish of 9th while running 3 divisions each week, so we look for Bill to continue to have some strong runs near the front of the field.

9. Stan Bragg Jr (Prev Rank: 10 (+1))
Stan moves up a spot this week from number 10 to 9. He started off the week with an 11th in the packed Legends race, and backed that up with an 8th place finish in the Street Stocks. The Pro Late Model race would be his only bad race of the week as he wrecked out early, but rebounded by surviving the Super Late Model race with a 2nd place finish. Stan had a fast car and was pressuring the top couple of cars but couldn’t get the long run he needed. We’ll see if Stan can keep it up this week.

8. Clay Snider (Prev Rank: 6th (-2))
Clay drops down a couple spots this week after having a best finish of 7th in the Legends. His other two finishes were a 12th in the Pro Late Models, and then a 20th in the Super Late Models after an early wreck. He does still hang onto the Legends points lead though, so he’ll have to pick up the pace there to hang onto it during drop weeks, as well as look to recover in the other divisions.

7. Brian Tedeschi (Prev Rank: 8th (+1))
Brian moves back up a spot this week after dropping back a couple last week. He started off the week really well with a couple of top 5 finishes, with a 4th in the Legends and a 5th in the Street Stocks. But his Pro Late Model and Super Late Model races didn’t go quite as well. In the SLM race, he had a strong run going before a number of incidents dropped him to an 18th place finish. We’ll look for Brian to rebound in the upper divisions as he can usually be found at the front of those fields.

6. Matt Rolfe (Prev Rank: 9th (+3))
Matt moves up a couple of spots this week with a couple of top 5 and top 10 finishes. He finished 3rd in the Legends race, and was running in the top 3 in the Street Stocks before ending up in 7th. Then he worked his way up into a 5th place finish for the Pro Late Models. His Super Late Model race wouldn’t go quite as well after dropping out of the race early for a 19th place finish. Matt still leads the SS standings, and is within striking distance in the Legends, so we’ll see if Matt can finish out the season strong.

5. James Linkiewicz (Prev Rank: 5th (+0))
James remains at number 5 this week in the Rankings after coming off of a couple of decent finishes. In the Pro Late Models he would end up with a top 10 in 9th, and finished with a 14th in the Super Late Models. But he does find himself sitting in 3rd in the PLM standing, and he moved up to 2nd in the SLM standings. So we’ll look to see if James can continue his consistency and stay near the top of the standings.

4. Jacob Linkiewicz (Prev Rank: 7th (+3))
Jacob jumps up to number 4 this week after a couple of top 10 finishes. He ended up 10th in the Pro Late Models, but stepped it up with by surviving into a 3rd place in the Super Late Models. Also with Trey Jarrell missing another week, Jacob has become our new SLM points leader. So we’ll see if Jacob can hang on to that lead in the standings as the season winds down.

3. Justin Brooks (Prev Rank: 4th (+1))
Justin moves into number 3 this week after picking up another victory in the Street Stocks, after leading all 75 laps in the event. He also dominated the Super Late Model race, but on the final restart, he clipped the apron and spun in front of the field dropping him to a 17th place finish. But with another win, he moves within two wins of the all-time SARA wins count. We’ll look for Justin to reach this milestone soon as he continues to run up front each week.

2. Kenny Lindsley (Prev Rank: 3rd (+1))
Kenny moves back up into 2nd this week. He had a strong 2nd place finish in the Pro Late Models, but stepped it up a notch by picking up his first SARA victory in the Super Late Models. Brooks’ misfortune at the end of the race played out just right for Kenny, but a win is a win and it’s tough to achieve in the SLM division. Kenny continues to lead the PLM standings, we expect Kenny to continue to run up front each time he runs.

1. Ty Majeski (Prev Rank: 2nd (+1))
For the first time this season, someone named Trey Jarrell is not sitting at the top of these rankings. Ty has been running for just a few weeks with us, but has been on quite a tear. He continued it this week by picking up the win in the Legends race, and then backed it right up with another win in the Pro Late Models. He now has 8 SARA wins this season, and 9 overall. As long as Ty keeps picking up wins, he should remain at the top of these rankings.
