The RB Performance Super Late Model Series headed into Thompson, coming off a rough week last week in Stafford. But the tough track of Thompson would see similar results with a total of 8 cautions on the night.
Ty Spearman set the tone early, picking up the pole by over a tenth of a second, and would lead plenty of laps early in the race. The field behind him had a hard time settling in however, as there were a number of cautions in the early laps. 5 cautions paced the field early before lap 40.
Once the race began to settle in some behind Spearman, a couple of drivers would take their turn in the 2nd position. Jesse Potter would work his way up there before having mechanical issues before a restart. That left Clay Snider and Anthony Celentano to battle it out for a number of laps before Celentano took the spot away.
James Poleske had a good run going as he also made his way up into the 2nd position before some server issues would drop him back in the field. He would recover though and make his way back up to the third spot.
But no one had anything for Spearman as he held off the field and went on to lead every single lap in his first career SARA victory. Celentano would finish 2nd, Poleske 3rd, with Matthew Eddy and Matt Rolfe rounding out the top 5.
Points leader Tyler Breeding found trouble early, but would recover for a 7th place finish. He continues to lead the points by 15 over Rolfe who moved up to 2nd.
Unfortunately for some drivers, we had two cars that decided to ruin it for others. Effective immediately, two drivers are being banned for life due to their actions in the race. Retaliation will not be tolerated.
Next week the series heads Langley. Full Results and Standings can be found HERE.
