Last night, the NEO Racing News Legends League kicked off week 11 with their feature event at South Boston. Despite the race only being 50 laps, there was plenty of action all around.

Jeffrey Stanton made his first start of the season and had the quick lap in qualifying to pick up the pole over TJ graves by .001 seconds. Stanton would jump ahead on the green flag as he would lead the first 13 laps, but Graves would stay right on him and would take over the lead on lap 14.

The first yellow on the night would come out for a spin by Clay Snider, and the field would bunch back up for the restart. Graves would hang onto the lead as Stanton settled in behind him. The caution would fly again just a few laps later, as 3rd place driver Ronald Williams would spin out of the corner.

This would set up the final restart with just 6 laps to go, and again Graves would jump ahead and would lead the rest of the way to pick up his 2nd win of the legends season. Stanton would follow in 2nd, with Travis Warling finishing out the top 3. Coming to the line, Ronald Williams was able to make a late charge and snuck around the outside of Matt Rolfe on the last lap to recover to 4th by inches, while Rolfe finished 5th.

With Williams 4th place finish, his points lead currently sits at 85 points. But with drop races coming into effect in the final double header night of the series, this points battle should be a nail biter through the last lap of the season.

Next week the series heads to the NHMS Mini-Oval, where the series will run heat races for the first time.
