Race1.us Dirt Night presented by JB Trucking – Street Stocks – Round 3 – Oct. 1, 2018 – Kokomo Speedway

Last Monday night, the Dirt Night series took on Kokomo in the league’s first race at the Speedway. 41 drivers would show up in attempt to make the 24-car grid for the 75-lap A-Main.

Race Summary – Ryan Doucette would lead the field to the green flag but it was Christian Pedersen who jumped out in front. Pedersen enjoyed a comfy lead at times, pulling away from the pack behind him, until a lap 32 caution bunched the field back up. On the restart, Doucette was able to hang on the outside of Pedersen, and used the cushion to swing by on the outside into the lead. The high side became dominant for the rest of the race, and Doucette would hold his car up there which allowed him to hold off the field for his first SARA dirt victory.

Race Winner – Ryan Doucette – Started 1st (invert), 39 laps led

Top Five – 2nd Mason White, 3rd Devon Morgan, 4th Jeremy Adams, 5th Nicholas Johnston

Hard Chargers – Samuel Roush (+14 Positions, 23rd to 9th)

Heat Winners – Derek Robinson, Matt Kocher, Kenneth Drake, Ben Nile

Points Battle – With the victory, Ryan Doucette extended his points lead up to 28 points over Pedersen.

Up Next – The series will take on Eldora tonight for 60 laps.
