Davis Chassis Works Contender Series – Super Late Models – Round 10 – December 19, 2018 – Lanier National Speedway

Race 1 Summary – Alex McCollum won the pole on the night and led Race 1 to the green flag. He enjoyed a comfy lead throughout some early cautions until Gareth Gonder challenged for the lead, but the two would get together allowing Devon Morgan to take over on lap 84. Morgan controlled most of the second half of the race until both McCollum and Gonder rebounded to challenge once more, but Morgan was able to hang on to pick up his 3rd win of the season.

Race 2 Summary – Race 2 didn’t have nearly as much action at the front of the field as Jarrid Boiros jumped out to a quick lead. Boiros didn’t face much of a challenge for most of the night, but in the late stages Justin LaDuke was able to make up some ground, but it was too little too late as Boiros held on to lead all 200 laps for his 22nd career win, and his first asphalt win since June of 2015 at Lanier.

Hard Chargers – Samuel Roush (Race 1, +12 pos.), Adam Josselyn (Race 2, +11 pos.)

Pole Winner – Alex McCollum (12.928 seconds)

Points Battle – A win for Devon Morgan narrowed his points deficit down to just 6 points entering the final race of the season at Oxford, as Brandon Wilkinson will look to hold him off for the championship.
