The Callaway Investments Sportsman Series made the league’s first ever trip to the Michigan International Speedway for a 50-lap race at the 2-mile speedway. The event was intense from the drop of the green flag all the way to the checkers, as 12 different drivers would lead with a total of 29 different lead changes. Matt Rolfe led the field to the green on a restart with two laps to go, as he, Trevor Edwards, Darrell Hamlin, and Russell Charneski battled for the lead, but Rolfe would sputter out of gas down the back stretch on the final laps. This left Edwards out in front of Hamlin into the final corners, Hamlin would make a move to the bottom, but Edwards would get the edge at the line by just .027 seconds for the victory. The win was Edwards’ 4th career SARA win.

Travis Warling moved up to 6th on the final lap, and maintains his points lead into next week’s race at the Daytona Short road course, where Warling will be the favorite to win.

Pole Award – Russell Charneski – 49.771 seconds
Hard Charger – 20th to 5th (+15) – Ian Layne
