Bills Scores Sportsman Win at Southern National

On night number two of Southern National week, the Callaway Investments Sportsman Series hit the track for a 100-lap feature. Tim Bills scored his 29th career pole with a lap of 15.386 seconds. A full 10-car invert dropped Bills back into the field, and it was Christian Pedersen that moved towards the front for the green and led the opening 37 laps. Trevor Edwards took over the lead on lap 38, and with the race going green flag from there to the finish, Edwards and Bills would pull away out front. Bills made his move to the lead on lap 65, and from there he slowly began to pull away, and would go on to score the victory by over two seconds, for his 15th career SARA victory.

With the first drop race being factored into the standings, Trevor Edwards would benefit and move into the points lead heading into the off-week break.
