Sim Marketing Solutions Super Series – Super Late Models – Round 3 – October 4, 2018 – Southern National Motorsports Park

Last Thursday night, the Super Series took on Southern National under the lights for 150 laps in the running of the Canfield Auto Body 150.

*The SARATV broadcast experienced some technical difficulties but can be seen at the link below:

Race Summary – Tyler Price was inverted to the front of the field and led the opening handful of laps. But on lap 20, an incident near the back half of the field left the leaders scrambling to avoid them, and ultimately Price and a couple others were collected, while Joe Schaffer Jr. was able to sneak by to take over the lead. Schaffer would face multiple charges from Jimmy Mullis throughout the rest of the race, including during the final laps where Mullis was all over the rear bumper of the 6 car. But Schaffer would hold him off, and would go to victory lane for the 48th time in his SARA career.

Race Winner – Joe Schaffer Jr. – Qualified 10th, 130 laps led

Top Five – 2nd Jimmy Mullis, 3rd Logan Clampitt, 4th Colin Allman, 5th Jim Caudill Jr.

Pole Winner – Tim Bills (13.232 seconds) – 51st career SARA pole.
