This past Thursday night, the 2018 Spring Season for the TUNDRA Super Sim Series presented by Lokotoco Designs came to a close at the conclusion of the Hides Pride Championship 200 at Lanier.

Title Fight – Jimmy Mullis entered the night on top of the standings needing to finish 4th or better to lock up the title, and he did that plus more as he went on to win the race to pick up his first career SARA championship. Mullis’ season consisted of 4 wins, 9 top fives, 10 top tens, and 479 laps led in 11 races. Congrats to Jimmy Mullis on the championship!

Race Winner – Jimmy Mullis took the lead on lap 79, and held off the field on a couple late restarts to pick up his 4th win of the season.

Race Summary – Kyle Souza led the field to the green flag after the 9-car invert and stayed up front for the first 60 laps. Joe Schaffer Jr. was the first one to work his way by into the lead, but points leader Jimmy Mullis had followed him to the front. Schaffer couldn’t shake Mullis, and ended up letting him go on lap 79 for the race lead. Mullis looked comfortable up front over the second half of the race until a couple late restarts put Matt Rolfe and Zack Novak next to him to battle, but he would get the jump out front and held on for his 5th career SARA win.

Pole Award – Ty Majeski set the fast lap for his 80th career pole, but connection issues while gridding prevented him from making a lap in the race.

Hard Charger – Scott Austin just barely made the field on time and charged up to finish in the 10th position, gaining 15 spots on the night.

Rookie of the Race – Zack Novak ended his Rookie of the Season campaign with a podium finish in 3rd place.
