Sim Marketing Solutions Super Series – Super Late Models – Round 9 – December 13, 2018 – Myrtle Beach Speedway

The Super Series took on Myrtle Beach for Round 9 of the season with 150 laps in the running of The HUB Used Sim Racing Giveaways 150.

Race Summary – In the opening laps of the race, Ryan Matthews took over the lead from Ty Spearman who was inverted to the pole. Matthews looked strong early, but behind him Ryan Doucette was charging to the front in a hurry. By lap 46, Doucette was making his move to the outside groove and drove around Matthews and into the lead. Over the final 105 laps, Doucette dominated the race and went on to pick up his first Super Series win, and 7th career SARA victory.

Top Five – 2nd Keith Medeiros, 3rd Jimmy Mullis, 4th Trevor Edwards, 5th Alex McCollum

Pole Winner – Jim Caudill Jr. (18.218 seconds)

Hard Charger – Trevor Edwards (+13 positions)

Points Battle – Leaving Myrtle Beach, Jimmy Mullis left with a 51 point lead and unofficially already clinched his 2nd Super Series title.

HidesPride Head2Head Throwdown – Row 9 on the grid was selected at random for drivers to compete head-to-head, with Trevor Edwards (4th) finishing ahead of Justin LaDuke (23rd) to win the Throwdown.
