The RB Performance Super Late Model Series made the trip up to New England to take on the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for 100 laps of action as a part of SARA Speedweek Presented by the TC-R1 Pro Sim Chassis and Fast Track Sims. Tyler Breeding would carry the points lead into tonight’s race, where drop weeks would begin to come into effect.
Breeding would pick up the pole with a time of 30.024 and would lead the field to the green flag. He would jump out to the lead and slowly pull away as the field settled in behind him.
Fred Moreau, Ty Spearman, and James Poleske would all battle it out within the top 5, before Cam Manis would join the party from his 15th starting position. Manis would carefully pick his way through traffic as he worked his way up into the 2nd spot and looked to chase down the leader. He would pull within 2 seconds of Breeding just past the half way mark in the race.
The race would go green flag all the way to the finish, and as the laps wound down, drivers began to realize they wouldn’t be able to make it to the finish on gas. Moreau was the first to duck down pit road with 20 laps to go, followed by Poleske 10 laps later. Manis would look to try and save gas, but would have mechanical issues with a handful of laps to go.
While the rest of the field was trying to make it to the end, Breeding stayed in control out front, and was able to save enough gas throughout the race to make it to the checkers without needing to pit at all. Breeding would pick up the win, his 3rd of the season, and extend his points lead to 52 points as the series heads into the final week of the season.
Moreau and Poleske would both hang on to 2nd and 3rd after their pit stops, while Matt Rolfe quietly worked his way up to 4th, followed by Trent Brown who picked up his best finish of the season with a 5th place finish.
Next week the series finishes off the season with a 150 lap event at the Irwindale Speedway.
