SARA All-Star Clash Announced (Updated)

The Clash is back!

UPDATE:
The SARA All-Star Clash has a new presenting sponsor as The Button Box Shop has come on board to sponsor the special event. The Button Box Shop first partnered with SARA at the Fall Brawl Spectacular and the partnership will continue into 2017.

In addition to the new presenting sponsor, the All-Star Clash will also have a new format from when we first posted about the race. The Clash will now be a 150-lap race for all divisions, but the divisions will be sent out in stages. The Street Stocks will be sent out on track first for the green flag, while shortly after the Pro Late Models will join them followed by the other divisions as well. By staging each division to start at different times, all four divisions will be battling for the overall victory as the laps wind down to the finish. More details will be provided closer to the event.

The Clash Open format will remain the same, as all SARA drivers will be eligible to battle it out for a transfer spot into the Clash.

With just two weeks remaining in the 2016 Fall Season, the year will officially come to a close with our All-Star Clash which is set to be run on Thursday, December 29th. The Clash will feature drivers and cars from all four current SARA divisions, all thrown onto the track at the same time for one all-out battle to end the season.

With the event being an invite only all-star race, 24 drivers have already been sent the first round of invitations.

For those drivers that did not receive an initial invite? The Clash Open will be scheduled for the night before, on Wednesday, December 28th, and all current SARA drivers will be allowed on track in the division of their choice, and the top two Open drivers from each division will transfer into the All-Star Clash.

The Clash Open will be a 30-minute timed event, with the All-Star Clash being a 150-lap race. More details and information can be found below:

CLASH OPEN QUALIFIER – WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 28

Open to ALL SARA members, including drivers already invited into the Clash
Drivers can enter in any division of their choice (SLM, PLM, SK, SS)
Top 2 drivers at the end from each division will advance into the All-Star Clash
9:00 PM Eastern – Practice Opens
10:00 PM Eastern – Qualifying (2 laps x 5 minutes)
10:05 PM Eastern – Clash Open green flag (30-minute race)

TWO Fast Resets
Mandatory 4-tire pit stop, each driver MUST pit once!

ALL-STAR CLASH – THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29

9:00 PM Eastern – Practice Opens
9:45 PM Eastern – Single Car Open Qualifying (2 laps, open session, one car at a time)
10:10 PM Eastern (approximately) – All-Star Clash green flag (150-lap race)
Cautions OFF
TWO Fast Resets
Mandatory 4-tire pit stop, each driver MUST pit once!
All four Divisions (SLM, PLM, SK, SS)
Eight (8) drivers per division, for a total starting grid of 32 cars
