Alex McCollum started on the pole and led 167 laps, as the field played the tire-saving game behind him. Justin Brooks rode in 2nd for much of the race before picking up the pace and taking the lead on lap 168. Some late cautions set up a wild finish, with tire strategies playing out in dramatic fashion. Kyle Myer capitalized, charging through the field and making the winning pass on Brooks with just four laps to go to win the Hampton Heat.
