Oxford 250 – SLM Race Summary
Cody Dempster led the field to green and controlled the opening stages of the 250-lap feature. After giving up the lead during a pit cycle, Dempster drove back to the front by lap 84. Behind him, Alex McCollum was quietly and steadily working his way toward the front, and after taking tires during a lap 93 caution, McCollum made a charge to the lead by lap 110. The final caution flew just before halfway, setting up a long run to the finish that allowed McCollum to set sail out front as he pulled away by more than five seconds to score his second Oxford 250 victory.
