Callaway Investments Modified Series – Tour Modifieds – Round 1 – Sept. 18, 2018 – New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Last Tuesday night, the Tour Modifieds would return to action as 35 drivers unloaded at “The Magic Mile” to kick off Round 1 of the 2018 Fall Season.

Race Summary – After an 8-car invert, David Krikorian found himself out in front of the field at the drop of the green flag. Krikorian was able to jump out in front on each restart all night, but was never able to pull away as a pack of cars were always within a couple car lengths of his back bumper. Cody Kelley was the first and only driver to really challenge DK for the top spot, but after running side-by-side for the lead for a couple of laps, Kelley slipped up and dropped back through the field. Krikorian was able to then hold off Robbie Vrabel Jr. for the rest of the race, and went on to pick up his 36th career SARA victory.

Race Winner – David Krikorian – Qualified 8th, started 1st (8-car invert), 75 laps led

Top Five – 2nd Robbie Vrabel Jr., 3rd Trevor Edwards, 4th Kyle Odaynik, 5th Conner Blaise

Hard Charger – Keith Jeffery (6th, +21 Positions)

Pole Winner – Trevor Edwards – 28.388 seconds

Up Next – Tonight the ground-pounding Mods will take on the Myrtle Beach Speedway, which saw a tight 4-car battle for the win in last season’s Triple Crown event.

*Due to a large wreck on the final lap of the race, the final results have been adjusted based on section 4.5.1.1 of the rulebook regarding Final Caution/Incident Review. All drivers found to ARCA Brake into the wreck were scored behind all other cars involved in the incident in the order they were running prior to ARCA Braking.
