The RB Performance Super Late Model Series returned to the track after a week off, as they headed to Stafford Motor Speedway for 150 laps of action. Week 1 saw a great race at Richmond with 30 cars taking the grid, and we would see 29 cars again this week on the flat half-mile.

Camaron Manis would earn the pole position, beating out last week’s winner Tyler Breeding by just .002 seconds. On the start, Manis would jump out to the early lead and gain control early as the rest of the field battled it out. Patience was the name of the game back in the pack as cars were just looking to log laps.

But as the race neared the half way point, the patience wore off and drivers started to get more aggressive. Manis would hang onto the lead until surrendering the top spot to Tyler Price on lap 69. Throughout the second half of the race, Price would control the lead, as Breeding and Heath Smith would follow close behind.

As the laps wound down, Breeding would put pressure on Price for the lead. As they came out of turn 4 on lap 141, Breeding would get a run and make slight contact to the back of Price’s bumper, sending Price for a spin and into the wall ending his chance at the win.

When that happened, Smith was there to capitalize on the leaders’ mistakes, and take the lead for the last restart. Smith would go on to hold off the field with just 3 laps to go, and hang on for his first career SARA victory in his first start. Breeding would hang on for second to expand his point lead, with Jesse Potter, Matt Rolfe, and Robert Matthews rounding out the top 5.
