The NEO Racing News Legends League made the trip back to Summit Point tonight for the second time this season, this time to the Jefferson Reverse course for a 15 lap event.

Matt Rolfe went to work early as he picked up the fastest lap in practice, only to back it up in qualifying and improve his time by 4 tenths of a second to pick up his third pole of the season.

Rolfe would jump out to the lead, as Clay Snider also got a good jump on the start to move up into the second position as Joshua Kotten settled into third. Throughout the early laps, Snider and Kotten would battle each other, as they kept steady pace behind the leader.

Snider would keep Rolfe within 1 second throughout most of the race, even closing near the back bumper of him on a couple occasions.

But as the laps wound down, Rolfe would pick up the pace a little as Snider began to loose his handle. He would pull away by 1.5 seconds as they crossed the finish line as Rolfe would pick up his 4th win of the season. Snider would hang on for 2nd, Kotten would slip a little but remained 3rd, with Patrick Hahe and Ronald Williams rounding out the top 5.

With Williams finishing 5th, and Rolfe picking up the win, Williams points lead would drop down to 82 points. As we near drop weeks towards the end of the season, every point counts from here on out.

Next week the series heads to South Boston. For full results and standings from tonight, click HERE.
