The RB Performance Super Late Model started off the night with their 150 lap feature at South Boston, before the Pro Late Models take the track later tonight. 19 drivers would take time in practice, with 18 of them starting the feature.

Cam Manis would grab the pole by just .02 seconds over James Poleske. On the drop of the green Manis would pull out front, but an early caution would bunch the field back up. This time Poleske would get a good run to get by Manis and take over the lead early.

The caution flag would fly 9 times on the night, which would set up plenty of action on the restarts. Poleske was able to get out front each time while Manis would fall in behind him. Fred Moreau would have a strong run all night running in 3rd before a late race incident would move him back in the field.

Both Heath Smith and points leader, Tyler Breeding would come from deep in the field, and slowly worked their way up to the front.

But it would be Poleske that held off the field through the final couple of restarts, leading 136 laps to pick up his first career SARA victory. Manis would hang onto 2nd, while Breeding and Smith would work their way up to the 3rd and 4th positions. Ray Farlow made his return to SARA action, and would quietly have a strong run to finish top 5.

With Breeding’s 3rd place run, and Matt Rolfe struggling in the race, Breeding’s points lead would jump up to 49 points with just two weeks left in the season. But things will get shaken up throughout the standings as drop weeks begin to come into effect next week.

The series heads to NHMS next week as part of SARA Speedweek at NHMS. For full results and standings from tonight’s race, click HERE.
