Race1.us Dirt Night presented by JB Trucking – Dirt Pro Late Models – Round 6 – March 25, 2019 – The Dirt Track at Charlotte

Last Monday night Charlotte played host for Dirt Night for the second time this season, for a 100 lap midseason showdown under the lights.

Race Summary – Devon Morgan found himself at the front of the field after the invert and led the field to the green flag. Morgan jumped out to a quick lead, which was the story of the night for him. With a handful of cautions throughout the race, Morgan jumped ahead to a sizable lead on each restart, but it wasn’t all that easy at times. Tyler Breeding made his way into 2nd and made a couple of charges at the lead, closing the gap on a couple of occasions but wasn’t able to make a move. Morgan held off Breeding and the rest of the field during the final 25 lap run to the finish and went on to pick up back-to-back Dirt Night victories.

Race Winner – Devon Morgan – Started 1st, 100 laps led, 7th career SARA win

Top Five – 2nd Tyler Breeding, 3rd Dante Curtis, 4th Jim Caudill Jr., 5th Derek Robinson

Hard Charger – Dante Curtis & Clay Snider (+9 Positions)

Heat Winners – David Duke, Jim Caudill Jr., Beau Brannon

Russell Brown Race Cars Driver of the Race – Derek Robinson was the highest finishing driver with the RBRC logos on his rear spoiler in 5th place.

Points Battle – Matt Rolfe hangs onto the points lead, but with drop races being factored into the standings after the Round 7 event at Volusia, the points are expected to be shuffled at the top of the order.
