Schaffer Jr. Dominates For Williams Grove Cup Win

Last Wednesday night, the Dirt Late Model Series visited the Williams Grove Speedway for the first time for a 75 lap race in the Williams Grove Cup.

Race Winner – After the Pole Shuffle, Travis McKinney was scheduled to start on the pole for the race but some technical issues prevented him from gridding. This allowed Joe Schaffer Jr. to take over the lead at the drop of the green flag, and never looked back. Schaffer would go on to lead all 75 laps to pick up his first dirt win and his 30th career SARA victory.

Heat Winners – Joe Schaffer Jr. and Dave Bodio each drew lucky #1 for their Heat Races and went on to pick up the wins.

Hard Charger – Clay Snider started outside the top ten in 11th and made his way up to finish on the podium with a 3rd place finish.

Title Fight – Ty Spearman ran 2nd most of the night but had nothing for Schaffer Jr. and had to settle for the runner up spot, but that increases his points lead up to 32 points as the series heads back to Volusia where Spearman won the first time at the track.
