Championship Battle
Entering the final night for the Contender Series, Dylan Bates held a 15 point lead over Fred Moreau. Both drivers ran at the front of the field, but it was Bates that got out into the lead by lap 62 and then held off Moreau during the late stages to not only pick up the win, but to also hang on for the title.
Bates’ first career SARA championship consisted of 10 starts, 5 wins, 9 top fives, 9 top tens, and 479 laps led. Congrats to Dylan Bates, the 2019/2020 Winter Season Davis Chassis Works Contender Series champion!
