Hampton Heat 200 – LMSC Race Summary
During the early stages of the 200-lap feature, a majority of the field settled into tire-saving mode while Kyle Souza and Chase Williamson drove to the front and dueled for the top spot. When their battle eventually settled, both drivers had used up their tires and began to fade back before halfway. Chris Horton took over out front for over 30 laps before Collin Murphy made his way back into the lead on lap 133. After a handful of cautions and a number of blown tires shook up the field, Murphy pulled away on the final run by more than 2.5 seconds to score his first National Tour victory.
